The Bay Area Brewers Guild is a 501(c)6 nonprofit trade association representing independent craft breweries throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
Our mission is to promote local craft beer and craft breweries, market the region as a craft beer destination, and assist members through education, collaboration and community.
Our values include:
- striving to positively contribute to our industry and the neighborhoods we work, live and play in;
- encouraging inclusion, tolerance, diversity and individuality within and beyond our industry, among our membership and throughout the Bay Area; and
- pro-actively helping each other be the best we can be with the product we make, in our roles within our communities, as individuals, and especially as small businesses trying to survive and thrive through challenging times.
GUILD CHAPTERS
Organized as the San Francisco Brewers Guild in the 2000s, the trade association would evolve into a regional guild later the next decade, and in alignment with its core values, form five chapters -- San Francisco, East Bay, North Bay, Silicon Valley and the Coast -- to give voice and representation to, and to celebrate, each area's unique, vibrant, grassroots craft beer scenes.
Member breweries nominate and elect peers to serve on the Board of Directors, the organization's governing body comprised of representatives from each of the Guild's five chapters.
